Quote of the Day:

Over 77 percent of all U.S. murder victims in 2012 were male; targets of non-lethal shootings are even more disproportionately male. Four of the six homicide victims of Elliot Rodger, the lunatic narcissist who went on a killing spree in Santa Barbara in revenge for female rejection, were male. And yet the feminist industry immediately turned this heartbreaking bloodbath into a symbol of America’s war on women.

   –Heather Mac Donald

Heather Mac Donald has become the latest to weigh in on the feminist reaction to Elliot Rodger’s killing spree.  Relying on statistics, Mac Donald writes that there is no pattern of gender-based rampages in the U.S., while there is an emerging pattern of such mass murders committed by the untreated mentally ill.

Mac Donald points out the irony of feminists placing blame for Rodger’s murders on misogyny in the culture, while adamantly refusing to criticize the one really misogynist aspect of our culture—rap music.

“Annoyance” at male aggressiveness in trying to pick up women, Mac Donald notes, figured heavily in the feminist comments about misogyny and Elliot Rodger. “Such behavior is a far cry from murder,” Mac Donald comments.
