Politico is reporting that conservatives fear Republican leaders are giving up their efforts to repeal ObamaCare.

Amid the budget talks in the House and Senate, Politico says an ObamaCare repeal is a possibility but so is a so-called healthcare fix in the event the U.S. Supreme Court against taxpayer subsidies in states where the federal government is running a health insurance exchange.

A decision in the case, known as King v Burwell, is expected in June.

While center-right individuals and groups are hoping the court comes down against the government, there has been concern about political ramifications for Republicans in 2016.

Hadley Heath Manning, director of health policy at the Independent Women's Forum, reminds OneNewsNow that the President who signed the bill into law is still occupying the White House.

"The challenge is not that conservatives are divided about what to do about ObamaCare," she observes. "I don't think there is really a lot of division among Republicans in terms of whether ObamaCare should stay or go. They all wish that it could go. This is more of a maybe division over strategy or tactics."

Regarding a "healthcare fix" in the event the Supreme Court comes down against the government and subsidies in federally-operated exchanges, Republicans say they are ready with plans that include tax credits for health insurance.

While some refer to these as "ObamaCare lite" plans, Manning says the differences is how conservatives generally would propose to implement them.
