INDEPENDENT WOMEN'S FORUM STATEMENT ON UPDATED FEDERAL DIETARY GUIDELINES
Government Shouldn't Be In The Business Of Dietary Advice ?
Let Americans Make Food Choices Freely

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week the U.S. departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services released updated federal dietary guidelines offering new health and nutritional advice. Independent Women's Forum's Julie Gunlock released the following statement responding to the recommendations:

Julie Gunlock, IWF's culture of alarmism director, said:

It's time to disband the Dietary Guidelines committee and retire the notion that the federal government is in anyway useful when it comes to giving diet and nutrition advice.

Time and time again, these guidelines have been found to be outdated, incorrect and dangerously flawed. This week's revisions will be no different. Americans should talk to their doctors, nutritionists–even their moms!–before getting guidance from Uncle Sam.
