The media went crazy after John McEnroe said that Serena Williams, whom McEnroe pronounced "the best female tennis player ever,"  would rank about "700 in the world" in men's tennis.  Williams and tennis great Billie Jean King both agreed that Williams would not do as well against male tennis stars, admitting that men and women are physically different, which is reflected in the different requirements for men's and women's tennis. This did not calm the outraged media.

Factual Feminist Christina Hoff Sommers addresses the uproar over Enroe's remark and says it has a larger meaning: that the media can't be trusted to deal with gender issues. "We are drowning in gender driven misinformation," Hoff Sommers says in the latest FF installment.
