Quote of the Day:
The left loves women — unless they’re conservative.
–Washington Times story on the slurring of Huckabee Sanders
We're always amazed at the nasty things elite media commentators get by saying about conservative women. But I think, if you're keeping tabs, this might be among the worst:
Ira Madison, III, of The Daily Beast, likened Sanders to a drag queen in a hateful posting on Twitter.
“Butch queen first time in drags at ball,” he tweeted to his followers – along with a photograph of the press secretary.
Sanders is a bright young woman in a tough job. Unfortunately, Madison is not the only member of the elite media who has disgraced himself talking about her in a hateful way. As Fox News reports:
Just moments after President Trump promoted Sarah Huckabee Sanders to the role of White House press secretary, she was attacked by a swarm of woman-hating liberals.
First, the propagandists at The New York Times and MSNBC questioned Sanders’ character and called her a liar, but now journalists are attacking her physical appearance.
Nobody, as far as we can tell at this point, has called out Ira Madison III a sexist. In fact, the media establishment, at least at this point, has greeted his comment with a yawn. Par for the course.
Conservative women are an affront to the media: they are supposed to toe liberal line, and yet, infuriatingly, they're going their own way, thinking independently instead.
Thus smearing accomplished conservative women is a way of life with the mainstream media.
