IWF Statement on Women's History Month

IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Thursday, March 1, 2018

WASHINGTON, DC — Independent Women's Forum Senior Policy Analyst Patrice Lee Onwuka today released the following statement in honor of Women's History Month, which begins on March 1:

“Women's History Month is an important time to reflect on the triumphs of women in securing rights, equality, and opportunity.

"Women have been at the forefront of movements to change society for the better. They've risen to be leaders of industry and founders of business empires. They've made life-saving discoveries and time-saving inventions. They keep us safe in our homes and schools and they protect us abroad. Women's influence is in every sphere and at every level. Women are the cornerstones of families making everyday decisions that impact themselves, their families, their communities, and our nation.

"We honor the many women who sacrificed to clear a path for other women and push our nation to live up to its ideals for every person.
