In the latest installment of the Factual Feminist, FF Christina Hoff Sommers takes a look at a survey by the Thomson Reuters Foundation that ranks the U.S. as the world's tenth most dangerous country for women. This makes the US worse for women than Iran, Iraq, and North Korea.

The media uncritically accepted Thomson Reuters' rankings, generating headlines about how unsafe the U.S. is for women.

But Hoff Sommers looks at various studies that contradict this. She then also points out the most explosive fact about the methodology: it was based not on data but on the impressions of anonymous experts. That's right–the experts didn't even have to give their names.

That is certainly a good way to get biased opinions.  Listen to the Factual Feminist here.
