We want to congratulate Sarah Huckabee Sanders for her three years in what has to be one of the toughest jobs in modern Washington, D.C.–President Trump's White House spokesperson.
Yesterday, Ms. Sanders tweeted:
“Three years ago today I signed on with President
@realDonaldTrump. Many said he’d lose, but he won; then said he’d fail, but he’s succeeding. America is back and winning again thanks to the President’s strong leadership,” she tweeted.
As a fellow southerner, may I just say that I admire Sanders for her, spunky Arkansas style–she is always a lady yet she takes no prisoners.
The mainstream media, by and large, loathes Sanders' boss, which makes press briefings gladiatorial.
Her job is half purveyor of information, half lion tamer.
And she generally gets in the last word: when Sanders and her family were kicked out of a trendy restaurant in Lexington, Va., for no other reason than that she works for President Trump, she said of the restaurant owner:
“Her actions say far more about her than about me,” Sanders said of the owner who asked her to leave. “I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”
For three years of grace under fire, we salute Sarah Sanders.
