Washington, D.C. — Independent Women’s Forum will host its 2019 Annual Awards Gala on Wednesday, November 13 at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. This year's program will honor three influential leaders who are dedicated champions of women: Betsy DeVos, Secretary of Education; Larry Kudlow, assistant to the president for economic policy and director of the National Economic Council; and actress Kristy Swanson, star of the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The gala–known for being fun, elegant, and inspiring–brings together influential leaders from all avenues, and recognizes those who are dedicated defenders of democracy, liberty, and free markets.

“The freedom movement cares deeply about supporting women and creating a better and fairer society with more opportunities and choices for all. Independent Women’s Forum's Annual Awards Gala highlights that work and celebrates our successes in advancing that cause,” said Carrie Lukas, president of Independent Women’s Forum. “This year, IWF will have an expected 600 guests, who will all be celebrating not only the accomplishments of our honorees and of IWF, but of America and American women in particular.”

Previous award recipients include: Nikki Haley, Carly Fiorina, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Condoleezza Rice, Elaine Chao, Lynne Cheney, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Mike Rowe, Steve Forbes, and more.
