There’s something magical about this time of year.
It’s not just the sight of pumpkins being replaced by Christmas trees… nor is it the sight of crisp bright fall leaves being replaced by soft white snow.
It truly is the spirit of the season… and the generosity and gratitude it brings.
I ask you to join me in celebrating this season of giving by investing in Independent Women’s Forum this Giving Tuesday.
I am grateful to have the opportunity and flexibility to pursue my dreams while also welcoming a new baby into the world… and to be supported by my employer and colleagues in doing so.
I am grateful to live in a country and work with an organization that values independence of thought, fairness of action, and opportunity for all.
And I am grateful to have the opportunity to launch a center devoted to defending the “Opportunity Economy”… from fighting for the gig economy jobs to fighting against occupational licensing regulations.
The difference between the two are expanded freedom and opportunity… or expanded regulation and red tape. As an immigrant and new mother, I understand on a personal level how drastic these differences are.
I came to America for the freedom and opportunities this nation offers, to achieve my own vision of the American Dream… and I want my children to have the same.
That’s why Giving Tuesday this year resonates even more with me. Independent Women’s Forum is the leading organization fighting for these important differences.
Your investment in Independent Women’s Forum will allow us to do even more on this front, especially as more and more states put even worse strangling regulations and restrictions on gig economy jobs and skilled trades. These unnecessary burdens are harmful to workers, the jobs market, businesses, and the economy as a whole.
There’s not much time left to give. The Giving Tuesday deadline is today, Tuesday, December 3, at 11:59 p.m.
Invest in Independent Women’s Forum before our Giving Tuesday deadline.
