Throughout California, independent contractors have been coming together to oppose the new gig law in the state. Last week, they hosted a rally in Los Angeles.

Independent contractors are fighting for their ability to work and earn a living in the way they choose. Many have told their stories on twitter, only search #AB5stories to hear the accounts of countless individuals who are suffering under the restrictions of AB5.
While there has been some motion in Sacramento to carve out more exemptions for independent contractors, Californians should push to roll back the bill entirely, recognizing the threat that AB5 poses to the livelihoods of Californians throughout the state and the damage it has already caused.
