According to The Washington Post, AP, and other establishment press, presumed president-elect Joe Biden hired the first entirely senior White House communications team in history. It is a great achievement for women! But is their claim actually true?

“It is the first time all of the top aides tasked with speaking on behalf of an administration and shaping its message will be female.”
-The Washington Post

False. Completely make believe.

President Trump already hired the first all-female senior White House communications staff in history. He just never received any glowing press stories giving him credit. Currently, here’s who’s in charge of his White House press staff: Kayleigh McEnany, a new mother, serves as White House press secretary. Alyssa Farah, who has served in some critical roles in the administration for more than three years, is the White House communications director. Stephanie Grisham is the spokeswoman and chief of staff with Melania Trump after her stint as White House press secretary.

Katie Miller serves as communications director for Vice President Mike Pence, and Kara Brooks serves as communications director for Karen Pence. These women are the most senior communications officials in charge of representing the White House. They were preceded by women including Hope Hicks, Sarah Sanders, and Mercedes Schlapp, who all served in high-ranking roles in different capacities.

Under McEnany and Farah sit numerous deputy communications officials, some of whom are men. In order to make their claim about Biden hiring the first all-female senior press team true, the media had to include these lower-ranking officials as members of Trump’s senior press team.

The problem is, these lower-ranking officials don’t consider themselves “senior” in this regard. One of them, Judd Deere, said so much on Twitter.

After peddling its claim, The Washington Post admitted that “reasonable people can disagree about whether those are technically senior roles.”

If that’s true, then how can The Washington Post and others so confidently proclaim that under Biden, “It is the first time all of the top aides tasked with speaking on behalf of an administration and shaping its message will be female”?

The answer is, they can’t. But because the media will do anything to further the idea that the Left is the party that empowers and champions women, they’ll continue promoting these dishonest claims—all the while demeaning and insulting the hard work and historic achievements that women under President Trump have already done.
