IWF is delighted to welcome one of our newest visiting fellows, Katie Sullivan. Katie is joining Independent Women’s Law Center as a visiting legal fellow. Katie is general counsel for the America First Policy Institute and directs the group’s Constitutional Litigation Partnership. Welcome Katie!

Meet Katie below.

Prior to serving as the Acting Assistant Attorney General at the US Department of Justice, Katie was appointed and served for 11 years as a trial court Judge in Colorado, presiding over a drug court, a DUI court and disposed of over 42,000.  At DOJ, under Attorney General Bill Barr, Katie directed the Office of Justice Programs and managed a yearly budget of approximately $7 billion in resources to support state, local, and tribal criminal and juvenile justice activities, victim services, research and statistics and administrative duties.  Katie also served as a Senior Advisor at the White House Domestic Policy Counsel and as the Acting Director of the Office on Violence Against Women.  Katie currently works as General Counsel for a private company and is a Senior Advisor for the America First Constitutional Litigation Center. Katie received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University.
