DALLAS, TX — Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) is excited to announce that Riley Gaines, a former All-American and 4x SEC swimmer at the University of Kentucky who tied Lia Thomas at the 2022 NCAA D1 Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships, and Taylor Silverman, an amateur skateboarder who lost the 2021 Red Bull Cornerstone event to a male who identified as a female, will be featured speakers at this week’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, TX.

Gaines and Silverman — who are both IWF storytellers — will headline CPAC’s “I’m Not A Biologist” panel at 2:45 p.m. CT on Saturday, August 6. Their appearance at CPAC follows their participation in IWF’s “Our Bodies, Our Sports” rally held on the 50th anniversary of Title IX (June 23) in defense of keeping women’s sports female. A replay of the rally is available HERE.

Gaines and Silverman will be available for interviews from CPAC’s Media Row on Friday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. CT and at the Independent Women’s Network (IWN) — IWF’s grassroots network of women — booth (#320) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, August 6.

To arrange an interview with either athlete, please contact Meghan Agostinelli at [email protected] or 508-728-4140.
