WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Independent Women’s Forum celebrates the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual celebration of the contributions of Hispanic Americans. Unfortunately, this year Hispanic Americans have less prosperity to celebrate, as the policies of the Biden administration have left Hispanics worse off — from having less money to spend thanks to record inflation to feeling less safe in their communities.

Yali Nunez, visiting fellow at Independent Women’s Forum, released the following statement:

“During Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the contributions and influence that Hispanic Americans have had on our country’s history, culture, and achievements. Hispanics are a force for good in America and must continue to build up the true values and principles of this great nation for the next generation of Hispanic Americans to proudly receive this country even better than they found it.

“Recently, Hispanics across the nation have experienced the crippling impact of inflation more than other communities across the country. Everything is more expensive than it used to be, negatively impacting the quality of life of Hispanics. Our community needs leadership that moves them forward, not backwards. Unfortunately, we are not seeing that with this administration.”
