WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) released the ninth video in its documentary series, “Identity Crisis.” The series tells the stories of detransitioners who now warn of the harms of socially and medically transitioning, mothers whose daughters fell victim to gender ideology, and a mental health professional who rails against her profession for prioritizing political correctness over public health.

The latest documentary tells the story of Chloe Cole, a detransitioner from Central Valley, Calif., who began identifying as a boy at 12 years old. Doctors prescribed her puberty blockers and hormones starting at age 13. At 15, before her breasts were even fully developed, doctors performed a double mastectomy. Only a short time after surgery, Chloe started having regrets about her medical transition. But in some ways, it was too late. Chloe is now 18 years old and back to living as a woman, but is still struggling to come to terms with the medical coercion that took something “beautiful and uniquely female” away from her.

Kelsey Bolar, senior policy analyst at IWF and executive producer of the series, said, “Chloe Cole is perhaps the most well-known detransitioner in America. Yet, despite a growing presence in conservative media, her public profile hardly compares to transgender activists such as reality TV personality Jazz Jennings or TikToker ‘trans’ star Dylan Mulvaney. It’s a shame that so few in the corporate, Hollywood, and larger media world are willing to platform Chloe’s powerful story, along with the truth about the irreversible damage that gender ideology causes, particularly in minors who can’t yet consent.”
