WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today Independent Women’s Forum (IWF), the nation’s leading and most impactful women-led policy organization, which has been closely following, evaluating, and reacting to candidates’ positions, issues policy statements on the November 5, 2024 Election Day, an election that, regardless of outcome, will have historic significance for women nationwide:

Carrie Lukas, president of Independent Women’s Forum, said: “All issues are women’s issues, and women know that this election will impact the cost of living that will impact their budgets, the opportunities they will have for employment, our healthcare and education system, policing policies, and even whether women will be able to have women-only sports, opportunities, and female-only spaces of their own. No matter what happens during this election, Independent Women’s Forum will be championing policies that increase opportunity and freedom for American women and girls.”

May Mailman, director of Independent Women’s Law Center (IWLC), said: “This is not a vibes election. This election is the difference between whether children get to grow up as innocent children, or be baptized by the government in gender ideology in schools, sports, hospitals, and therapy sessions. Women’s voices outside the Washington elite have never been more important, and they are making themselves clear: they deserve single-sex spaces.”

Patrice Onwuka, director of IWF’s Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO), said: “Women are motivated by their wallets this time, not emotions. As breadwinners, bill payers, and budget balancers, women know how much worse off their households are now compared to four years ago. They are tired of watching their American dreams slip further out of reach. Don’t expect them to reward policymakers for driving up inflation with massive federal spending or strangling businesses with costly regulations. They know that it’s time to ‘turn the page’ on the hardship from radical leftist policies to embrace an agenda that delivered prosperity before and can do it again.”

Gabriella Hoffman, director of IWF’s Center for Energy and Conservation (CEC), said: “Climate policies that deprioritize energy abundance and consumer choice have contributed to inflationary woes these past four years. The high cost of gas, electricity, household appliances, food, and vehicles are motivating Americans – especially women – to support policies that put less strain on their pocketbooks.”

Meaghan Mobbs, director of IWF’s Center for American Safety and Security (CASS), said: “America stands at a crossroads. This election is not just a contest between political parties but a choice between stability and chaos. Over the past four years, we have witnessed the dangerous rise of authoritarianism and a staggering display of Western weakness, culminating in wars in Europe and the Middle East, while an increasingly aggressive China threatens global stability. Conflict-related sexual violence is on the rise, with women and children paying the price for policies that have prioritized appeasement over accountability. Here at home, our borders remain unsecured, presenting a clear and present threat to our national security and increasing the risk of attacks on American soil. The safety and security of our country is on the ballot, and the choice could not be more clear.”
