In the coming weeks, the Democrats are likely to create a false narrative surrounding ICE and immigration enforcement raids. However, it is imperative to focus on the truth: these operations prioritize removing the most dangerous individuals first. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently addressed this during a press briefing when asked about the criminal records of the 3,500 individuals arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since President Trump’s return to office. A reporter inquired, “Can you just tell us the numbers? How many have a criminal record versus those who are just in the country illegally?” Leavitt responded unequivocally, “All of them, because they illegally broke our nation’s laws, and therefore, they are criminals as far as this administration goes.”

This clear, unapologetic acknowledgment underscores the fundamental principle that our immigration laws matter, and enforcement is not optional. It also highlights the administration’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting American citizens. Through targeted ICE raids, officials are removing hardened criminals and gang members who pose a direct threat to public safety. This isn’t about cruelty—it’s about maintaining order, enforcing the law, and prioritizing the safety of our communities.

The Democrats’ strategy of resisting immigration enforcement and promoting policies that blur our borders is no accident. They seek to use these policies to create a permanent Democratic voter base, assuming those who benefit from weakened enforcement will ultimately support their party. However, this strategy has largely failed. Once individuals integrate into society, they recognize the importance of law and order. Most people understand that safety is not just a privilege—it’s a part of the American Dream. The first law of that dream is clear: you must enter this country in a legal manner. Without that, the foundations of safety, fairness, and opportunity crumble.

The United States is a compassionate country, and we empathize with those fleeing unjust regimes. However, compassion does not equate to open borders. Accepting everyone who enters illegally places an untenable burden on our healthcare system, schools, and housing, creating an unfair disadvantage for American citizens. To address this, we must prioritize those who follow the legal immigration process while firmly enforcing our borders.

Our nation is sovereign, with clearly defined borders that ensure our security and identity. Yet, during the previous administration, the strategic weakening of border controls sowed chaos and undermined America’s global standing. As a result, it jeopardized the fabric of our nation, and we must embrace policies which prioritize national strength and the American way of life.

Predictably, the Left will try to pull at our heartstrings, painting advocates for legal immigration enforcement as lacking empathy. This is a psychological tactic designed to manipulate public opinion and diminish support for the rule of law. We cannot fall for it. Instead, we must counter these narratives with facts: there are millions of individuals in this country illegally, and many have committed serious crimes. The Trump administration made significant progress in reducing the flow of illegal migration, and we must build on that momentum.

The task ahead is clear. We must continue to secure our borders, enforce our laws, and reject attempts to blur the lines between compassion and lawlessness. America is a nation that welcomes legal immigrants and supports those who follow the rules—but we cannot and will not allow chaos to dictate our future. Our leaders must stand strong in the face of manipulation and push back against those who would undermine the principles that make our country great. The choice is simple: enforce the law, or sacrifice the integrity of the United States.
