SANTA FE, NM – Today, Independent Women Features (IW Features), the grassroots storytelling and original journalism arm of Independent Women, is sharing the story of Monika Bialostocka, a Polish immigrant who says her twin daughters were exposed to inappropriate content at their school in New Mexico.
Bialostocka, who lived under martial law in her home country, immigrated to the U.S. over 30 years ago seeking freedom and opportunity. Bialostocka and her family lived in New Jersey before relocating to New Mexico with her husband and twin daughters in 2015. Having two artistic daughters, Bialostocka told IW Features that the New Mexico School for the Arts in Santa Fe seemed “like a good fit for them.” However, she soon realized that wasn’t the case.
Bialostocka shared with IW Features that her daughters were exposed to inappropriate art, LGBTQ+ training, a book depicting pedophilia, and more. Notably, pornographic artwork –– including graphic depictions of sexual acts –– was displayed by students in the visual arts department, leaving minors exposed to grotesque imagery under the guise of “art.”
Bialostocka told IW Features, “Educators are introducing children to inappropriate things and kids feel ashamed to talk at home about it. They are teaching our children to hate this country.”
Read more about Bialostocka’s efforts to push back against radical gender ideology in her daughters’ New Mexico high school HERE, which have included calling out the school administration during a parent association meeting and accusing them of fostering divisive ideology behind parents’ backs. Bialostocka and her husband also held a meeting with the school’s principal and their daughter’s English teacher, during which she asked the teacher to read the passage from a school-assigned novel graphically depicting pedophilia.
Andrea Mew, editing manager for IW Features and author of Bialostocka’s feature article, said: “What Monika Bialostocka’s twin daughters experienced at New Mexico School for the Arts is a disturbing case study into the growing trend to gut parental rights and subject children to perverse ideologies. But New Mexico parents need to remain vigilant amid a system that seeks to ice them out –– and Monika’s story serves as a strong example on how to do that. It’s high time we return to a common-sense education system that respects parental authority and protects the innocence of children.”
