“I am especially grateful for the moral leadership of President Trump… to use every power of the federal government to eradicate antisemitism wherever it may rear its ugly head.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Independent Women senior fellow and former U.S. Deputy Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism during the first Trump administration, Ellie Cohanim, praised the many steps that President Trump’s administration has taken against the rise of antisemitism, including expanding on Executive Order 13899

Ellie Cohanim, Senior Fellow at Independent Women’s Center for American Safety and Security, said:

“I applaud President Trump and the Trump Administration for the powerful steps they have taken in just 147 days in office to quash the pro-Hamas movement that threatens the safety and security of American Jews, and of our entire nation. I am especially grateful for the moral leadership of President Trump, his policies that would deport those who seek to import Jihad into our country, and to use every power of the federal government to eradicate antisemitism wherever it may rear its ugly head.”

Meaghan Mobbs, director of Independent Women’s Center for American Safety and Security, said:

“Antisemitism has no place in America. Yet, we are witnessing a disturbing rise in hate-fueled rhetoric and violence targeting Jewish communities. We must confront this extremism with moral clarity and unyielding resolve. I’m grateful to the White House and President Trump for taking this threat seriously and for their leadership in working aggressively to root out antisemitic ideology wherever it festers. This is not just a matter of policy, it’s a matter of principle.”

Earlier this week, Ellie Cohanim attended a briefing for Jewish community leaders at the White House following the fatal terror attack in Colorado against eight people at a rally for Israeli hostages.

President Trump’s administration has made it clear that the federal government not rest until antisemitism is eradicated by promising to:

  • Protect the civil rights of Jewish citizens;
  • Enforce law and order and prosecute antisemitic crimes;
  • Deport Hamas sympathizers and revoke student visas, and;
  • Restrict the entry of foreign nationals from countries with deficient screening information to protect the U.S. from foreign terrorists and other national security threats.
