White House Press Secretary Sarah  Huckabee Sanders takes a lot of grief from the press but few acknowledge her accomplishment as the one of the few women to hold the position — and the first to do so as a mother of three children.

"To the best of my knowledge, I'm the first mom to hold the job of White House Press Secretary," Sanders said earlier this year.

While progressives would go out of their way to uplift Sanders were she to identify with their ideology, they all but ignore her accomplishment because she doesn't.

The Trump Administration, as Senior White House Counsel Kellyanne Conway pointed out last week, practices "elevating and empowering women to top positions."

Sanders and Conway are two examples. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, Communications Director Hope Hicks and Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos are several others.

We believe women being promoted to top positions in government is a good thing — no matter which party they belong too. Kudos to Sanders for being a hard working mom at home and on the job!
