Women are flexibility maximizers; they thrive when they can choose how to work, whether as self-employed professionals, gig workers, or something in between. Unfortunately, worker freedom is under attack. Some federal and state policymakers and regulators seek to force millions of workers into traditional 9-to-5 employment, even if against their will. 

Independent Women polled Americans to gauge their support for independent contracting and proposals that seek to limit flexible work arrangements. We also probed policies that could expand workplace benefits to independent workers.

 

New Poll: 82% of Women Say Government Should Not Force Them into 9-to-5 Jobs
