George Washington Carver observed that “education is the key that unlocks the golden door to freedom.” An excellent education is a fundamental building block for citizenship, and important for the prospect of each individual student and the country as a whole. The goal of our massive public investment in K-12 and higher education should be to provide robust educational opportunities to every child.
