Americans want to live where there are ample job opportunities and entrepreneurship flourishes. Workers want a diversity of work options. Instead of the traditional 9-5 work model, some prefer flexible work arrangements that allow them to navigate other life circumstances, from caregiving, to schooling demands, to their own physical limitations. Government policies should encourage job creation, better compensation, and flexibility. Workers should not be forced into a one-size-fits-all model of work, and unnecessary work requirements should not prevent people from entering or practicing an occupation.
