INDEPENDENT WOMEN’S LAW CENTER (IWLC), a project of Independent Women’s Forum, is looking for a Staff Attorney. The ideal candidate has practiced law for at least three years and is passionate about defending the rule of law and the rights of women as a distinct biological and legal category.

ABOUT:

Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) is a nonprofit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded by women to foster education and debate about legal, social, and economic policy. IWF promotes access to free markets and to the marketplace of ideas and supports policies that expand freedom and limit the reach of government. IWLC supports this mission by advocating — in the courts, before administrative agencies, in Congress, and in the media — for equal opportunity, individual liberty, and respect for the American constitutional order.

POSITION:

The primary duty of the IWLC Senior Staff Attorney will be to identify amicus opportunities and to draft and file amicus briefs. The Senior Staff Attorney may also participate in other forms of advocacy, including preparation of policy papers, drafting and filing of comments with executive branch agencies, preparation of congressional testimony, and public speaking and education on issues related to equal opportunity, freedom of association, due process of law, the separation of powers, voting rights, and the continued legal relevance of biological sex. This is a highly flexible, virtual position. Occasional travel to Washington, D.C.
