Heather Hunter is a visiting fellow for Independent Women’s Forum.  Heather is a journalist and veteran radio, television, and film producer. She has been managing Washington, D.C.’s popular morning-drive show on 105.9 FM since she joined WMAL in 2010.  

She has produced three top ten nationally syndicated radio programs: “The G. Gordon Liddy Show”, “The Laura Ingraham Show” and most recently, “The Lars Larson Show.”

In addition, she produced the top Orlando morning-drive talk radio program 540 WFLA’s “The Shannon Burke Show” and various shows for XM Satellite Radio.

She has been working in media for 24 years. She started her career as a radio host on an alternative rock radio station in her hometown when she was 16 years old.

She moved to Washington, D.C. to become a television booker for Fox News Channel, where she produced “Fox News Live” and “Weekend Live with Tony Snow.”

She also has produced numerous documentary films hosted by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich. One of her indie films played in the Tambay Film Festival and New Zealand Film Festival.

In addition to producing, she is contributing writer for The Daily Caller and LifeZette. She lives in the Washington, D.C. area with her radio host husband Derek and children.
