Prior to serving as the Acting Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, Katie was appointed and served for 11 years as a trial court Judge in Colorado, presiding over a drug court and a DUI court, and disposed of over 42,000. At DOJ, under Attorney General Bill Barr, Katie directed the Office of Justice Programs and managed a yearly budget of approximately $7 billion in resources to support state, local, and tribal criminal and juvenile justice activities, victim services, research and statistics, and administrative duties. Katie also served as a Senior Advisor at the White House Domestic Policy Counsel and as the Acting Director of the Office on Violence Against Women. Katie currently works as General Counsel for a private company and is a Senior Advisor for the America First Constitutional Litigation Center. Katie received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University.
