Whiteney is Director of Donor Relations at the Independent Women’s Forum.
Previously, Whitney has been a part of the fundraising teams at The American Spectator Foundation, The Atlas Economic Research Foundation and The Center for Excellence in Education.
She got to know D.C. well early in her career as a Program Instructor for The Close Up Foundation. She is also a board member for Americas Future Foundation and an Advisory Board member of the Network of Enlightened Women (NeW).
Whitney earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Virginia and her Masters in Public Policy from George Mason University where she studied as a Seymour Martin Lipset Scholar. She and her husband John Athayde are active members of Alexandria Presbyterian Church and both Athaydes enjoy shooting and/or growing their own food.
