I value my experience in Kappa Kappa Gamma. I have been Chapter President, Chapter Advisor and National Chairman. The sisterhood and leadership experience I gained are priceless. Similar to Riley Gaines’ brave fight to save women’s sports, women’s sororities are also under attack. The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) betrayed women when they issued guidelines in 2020 encouraging all 26 NPC groups to admit men who identify as women.

All 26 groups “took the bait” and with no announcement or member vote – and in violation of the bylaws – each NPC President added this corrosive language to its website. Look under DEI on your sorority’s website, usually the last paragraph, to find “membership is open to individuals (men) who identify.” We must say “no.” This is not inclusion, this is subversion of women!

Sorority sisterhood is a special bond with other women. Men cannot be women. I grew up with brothers and attended public schools. The sorority house was where I found sisters. Women learn, grow and gain their confidence with the leadership experiences that sororities provide. I thank my friend Riley Gaines for her leadership in standing up for women in sports and for supporting the Kappa girls at the University of Wyoming who want to keep sororities female.
