As a result of a car accident that happened over a year ago, my husband is still suffering from some of the injuries. As a result he decided that he would have a procedure done, ordered by one of his attending physicians.

I scheduled the appointment and specifically asked about all costs associated with the procedure after we learned that his insurance would not cover the cost. I was quoted an amount and paid over the phone thinking that I was paying in full.

We later received two other bills (so far) that are related to the procedure. I do not feel it is ethical when a person is misled. I would think that the scheduler should be aware of all costs associated when the patient is paying out of pocket.
